Instructor & Trainer- Melissa Suits
Riding since the age of seven, Melissa Suits has been teaching and
training horses for over 20 years. Her list of accomplishments
includes a 4 year Equine Science degree from Centenary College,
successfully competing to the preliminary level in eventing and
showing through 4th level. She is a certified riding
instructor with a thirst for knowledge who consistently broadens her
equine education both in and out of the saddle.
Melissa has had the
opportunity to work with many wonderful trainers over the years such as
Eric Horgan, Marc Leone, Beth Adams, Olav Drehn, Tom Noone and others.
Her training approach stresses the importance of balance and strong
position, understanding horse behavior, developing trust and a solid
working partnership between horse and rider.
The lesson program at Railside is geared toward the adult rider
pursuing dressage. Melissa is
a knowledgeable and
patient instructor who understands the challenges of riding with a busy
life style.
Students of all levels are welcome.
